I hate being the bearer of bad news.
The picture above is from Nordstrom's main 'Boots" page.
And maybe this isn't bad news for everyone reading?
Fashion is very cyclical.
And a 'cycle' of low boots has started.
It's happened before.
It will last a few years,
and then boots will start to get taller.
We'll then see calf high boots for a few years.
And then knee high boots will be back
as the MUST HAVE boot height.
Although I don't think the CLASSIC black knee high leather
will ever go out of style, we may have to wait a few more years
for over the knee boots to come back as the IT BOOT.
I think and hope we'll still see
over the knee boots this year and maybe next,
especially in the 'middle' part of the country.
I've heard that trends start on the coasts and move inward.
For those of us who LOVE OTK boots,
the past 4-5 years have been remarkable.
And for that I am very thankful!
Luckily there's still some tall boots on
Nordstrom's web site.
Here's a sample.
