ANOTHER TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE
Phyllis George was Miss America 1971 and in 1975
at the age of 25 she became co-host of the NFL Today,
CBS' Sunday pregame football show.
Phyllis wore boots often and was definitely one of the icons for booted newswomen in the 1970s. If I'm not mistaken she was the first woman to have such a prominent role in national televised sports coverage.
