St. Paul native Kelly O'Connell is joining FOX 9 . Starting Oct. 5, she will anchor the weekday morning news with Dawn Stevens from 4:30 to 6 a.m. and will join Alix Kendall and Keith Marler as a co-anchor on the station's 9 a.m. show, "The Buzz."

O'Connell, a University of Minnesota graduate, was most recently a morning anchor and reporter in Seattle. She has also worked for TV stations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Columbus, Ga.; Mason City, Iowa, and was an intern at KARE-TV and WCCO-TV.
